San Antonio: is the most visited city in Texas and it is not hard to see why. A beautiful and atmospheric city, San Antonio has a mixture of different ethnic groups and the main languages spoken here are English and Spanish. To the northwest of San Antonio lies Hill Country, which is rich in stunning landscapes and fascinating history. Most visitors flock to the Paso del Rio or the River Walk where you will find the usual big city hotels, alongside smaller lodgings and accommodation, shops and cafes lining the sidewalk. The Alamo is San Antonio's most famous attraction and is first on the list of most visitors to the city. The Witte Museum, which focuses on Texas culture, history and the natural environment, is also well worth a visit.
