Madrid: Madrid is quite possibly one of the most energetic cities in Europe. To experience the city properly is to explore the restaurants, enjoy the bars and clubs and take in the museums and architecture. The city's energy is hard to resist and the nightlife is very appealing.
Madrid is home to one of the art world's holy grails - the Museo del Prado. The most famous work on display is perhaps "The Garden of Earthly Delights" by Hieronymus Bosch, but Spanish art plays a particularly important role here and lovers of Velasquez, Goya and El Greco will love it. The Museo del Prado is enormous and if you want to see the full collection, it is advisable to visit more than once.
